You may be aware that Battlefield 4 isn’t running as smoothly as it should across the many platforms the shooter released, with gamers experiencing a range of bugs, fixes and freezes since launch. Because of this, publisher Electronic Arts and developer DICE have halted all future development of the game’s DLC until the issues are completely dealt with.
In a statement released by EA recently, the publisher announced they are working non-stop to get Battlefield 4 back in working order and feels that doing so takes precedent:
First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4. We know we still have ways to go with fixing the game – it is absolutely our #1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we’re not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel your pain. We will not stop until this is right.
If you want to stay up-to-date with all future news on patches, fixes and other technical information, you can head over to the Battlefield 4 control room. Let’s just hope the shooter will be in working order soon and DLC’s start rolling off the production line, with PlayStation users still to receive any new content at all.
