While many await the release of Battlefield 1 later this month, a large portion of the gaming community is focused on November and the launch of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
The shooter series will deliver once again with an action-packed single-player experience many will surely flock to, but the multiplayer offering will still garner much of the attention. Those looking to play Infinite Warfare for a long period will be interested to see how many Prestige levels are available and Infinity Ward has answered.
Speaking with PlayStation Lifestyle recently, Infinity Ward’s multiplayer Project Director Jordan Hirsh confirmed that Infinite Warfare will have 10 Prestige levels in total.
“The Prestige system as it stands is pretty similar to what players have seen in the past and experienced,” Hirsh said.
“So as you Prestige you’ll unlock a Prestige token, and be able to bring over with you one item that would normally be gated via your player rank. Maximum Prestige right now that we’re planning is 10. That’s subject to change based on how things go in the future. We can adjust our experience curve, and we want that experience to be good for pretty much everybody.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on November 4th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The beta for the shooter is expected to go live later this month and will be available first for PlayStation 4 users, with Xbox One and PC users joining the party sometime after.
