This year will see the release of many high-end virtual reality headsets hit the market, offering a new more immersive way to experience video games.
A new mod created by Joseph Delgado allows gamers to play Grand Theft Auto 5 in virtual reality, which according to Delgado, really emphasizes how violent Rockstar’s crime sim is.
“I’m really not sure about this,” said Delgado. I feel horrible about making this. You actually feel guilty. My mouth dropped the first time I shot someone in my GTA: V VR setup.”
The creator plans to flesh out the mod and make it more stable over time, promising to update those interested in seeing its progress.
I’m going to be fleshing this out as one of my ongoing projects, just wanted to drop a quick teaser of what I started working on last night. VR is really cool.
