Minecraft is still updating despite years on the market and the Minecraft Exploration Update 1.11 for PC will bring another plethora of features and fixes to the block-building phenomenon.
Those who wish to help Mojang with any bugs they encounter can do so by downloading the Snapshot now. The update itself will bring Llamas into the fold and the ability to saddle them and carry your belongings, which can be handy when travelling long distances.
Villagers are also getting some much-needed attention, with trading offering new items and pathways to new dungeons, including the perils of the Woodland Mansion; be well equipped before showing your face there.
The Update also includes the Shulker Box, an “inventory-expanding chest originating from The End itself”. Destroying the chest won’t leave your items scattered on the ground, meaning you can place it somewhere else and still have the chest’s inventory intact.
How to install Snapshot:
“To get snapshots, open your launcher and press the ‘New Profile’ button. Call it ‘snapshots’ and check the box saying ‘Enable experimental development snapshots’ and save. To switch to the normal version, you can select it in the dropdown at the bottom left corner of the launcher.”
You can check out the changelog for the update here. Be warned that downloading the snapshot can corrupt your save file and will make your single-player world a server, where you can invite other players.
