Upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will only see a release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC it has been revealed. Unfortunately, this comes as bad news  for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users hoping to pick up the game.

This will be the first release in the series exclusive to current-generation consoles. Call of Duty: Black Ops was available on last-gen hardware, but was stripped back considerably due to the advanced development of the game.

Developer Infinity Ward made revelaed the news when asked on Twitter recently:

While the tweet only mentions the PlayStation 3, it’s highly unlikely Activision will have a studio working on a last-gen version of the game for only one console.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is scheduled to release on November 4th and will ship with Modern Warfare Remastered.
