It’s been a few days since the reveal of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and the response from the gaming community has been mixed.

A perfect example is the reveal trailer for the shooter, full of the usual explosions, bullets, and fancy weaponry, but once again failing to grasp the hearts of fans. As you would expect, people have flocked to YouTube to watch the trailer and the iconic like/dislike feature is telling a grim story.

The video currently has a more than 50% dislike rating, with it viewed by over 8.0 million people at the time of writing.

The dislikes really tell the story on how the community has welcomed the futuristic setting developer Infinity Ward have taken. Many have called for a return to the more traditional Call of Duty for years, but Activision doesn’t seem keen on bringing the series back to the old days.

This doesn’t mean Infinite Warfare is already a dud, it could turn out to be a great game. Just for the moment the community isn’t sold.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will launch on November 4th on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with a digital download of Modern Warfare Remastered for those who pick up premium editions. The game will not see a release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
