Microsoft’s new Elite controller for the Xbox One is selling so fast that it has exceeded the company’s planning and now they’re rushing to get more in stock for Christmas.
Demand for the $150 controller has”exceeded our planning”, this according to Xbox boss Phil Spencer who spoke with fans on Twitter about the sold-out customizable joypad.
@NiTr0ian We are working to get more in stock, sorry they've been so hard to find.

Spencer was asked by one fan would it be possible to obtain an Elite controller before December 25th, but refused to give a straight answer to the question.
@ZeZZeX It's tough as I don't want to overpromise. Demand has just exceeded our planning. If you find one and you want it, pick it up, sorry

The controller itself launched at the back-end of October with Halo 5: Guardians and works on the PCas well as the Xbox One. It also includes interchangeable rear paddles, hair trigger locks, sensitivity adjustment, and much more.
Microsoft hopes more controllers will be in stock by December 28th.
