Xbox One – Microsoft Lowers Price of Console For Holiday Season

If you have been waiting for your chance to pounce on a deal for a “next-gen” console now may be the perfect time to buy. Microsoft just announced that the price of their newest console will be discounted from $399 down to $350, at least until the end of the year. If you have been holding out on getting a console for you or your family, this is now the more economical choice between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, by $50 to be exact.

Buyers might also want to keep an eye out for bundled deals which can be found throughout various online stores as well as popular electronic stores in your area. These bundles¬†typically include a free game such as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Sunset Overdrive which has received rave reviews, or Assassin’s Creed: ¬†Unity. When you factor this in, the console is about $300 when you deduct the price of the game. A quick search on Bestbuy’s website showed that deals for the Xbox One have already been posted.

Will Sony respond by lowering the price of their Playstation 4 to compete? Though it’s very plausible, Sony also has held a strong reputation in recent months for outselling the Xbox One, therefore they may not need to cut the price of their console.
