Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, has confirmed that developers are already working on the highly anticipated Project Scorpio, Microsoft’s 4K-ready console launching next year.

Spencer was asked on Twitter this week if work on the console has already begun and gave an answer past the hardware itself, mentioning that games are also being worked on.

The console is expected for the late 2017 and along with the aforementioned 4K capabilities, Scorpio will also support the era of virtual reality and have a 2 teraflop edge over the PlayStation Neo.

Gamers can also expect HDR support and a vast selection of games that complement the new features Microsoft are bringing to the table.

No price for the console has been revealed at this time, but we can assume it will cost more than the vanilla Xbox One on launch day.
