Fallout 4 Vault-Tec Walkthrough Quest Guide – Lady Luck

Our journey through the Vault-Tec Workshop quest system is nearing its end, with the Lady Luck quest the final piece of the puzzle before becoming Overseer of Vault 88. Lady Luck should be activated after completing the Vision of the Future quest.

The quest starts with Valery Barstow explaining to you that she wants to take advantage of people’s greed to increase productivity within the vault. To do this, you need to build a Slot Machine

To do this, you need to build a Slot Machine through the workshop mechanic. You’ll need the follow items to build the prototype.

  • 4 steel
  • 2 plastic
  • 2 circuitry
  • 2 screws
  • 2 gears

Once you successfully created the Slot Machine, find an area to place it and attach a terminal and generator to power it up. Once done you’ll need to pick from three different parameters, similar to past experiments.

  • Indentured Servitude – This parameter will rig the machine so the player never wins. They will become addicted and increase profit.
  • Customer Profiling – This parameter will play the machine honestly, but take a picture of the person playing.
  • Lost Revenue –  This parameter allows the user to win every time, losing the chance of profit, but raising spirits within the vault.

Once you’ve chosen a parameter, the same events will happen and Clem will play the machine for an hour. Once you speak to the Overseer, she will check in with Clem for the results.

Chosen certain parameters during this experiment could make Barstow angry and cause her to leave the vault. Choose a parameter in her favor and she will still leave the vault, but it gives the character the option to try to convince her to stay.

Whatever the outcome, you’ll receive a Legend of Vault 88 jumpsuit for your troubles, which gives you a 15% defense against Ghouls.
