GTA 5 – Take-Two Could Still Release on Other Platforms

GTA 5 - The Best Fan-Made Clips From the New PC Video Editor

According to publisher Take-Two Interactive, Grand Theft Auto 5 might still see the light of day on other platforms, it all depends if consumers are there to snap up the title said CEO Strauss Zelnick.

In a recent interview with MCVUK, Zelnick talked about a possible release on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the future, but refrained from confirming if the game will indeed release on any other platforms. This isn’t a surprise with the publisher usually allowing its individual compaines to make such announcements.

When asked about launching GTA 5 on other machines Zelnick told MCV that Take-Two are in the business of releasing products on the devices its fans purchase, be it next-gen consoles, tablets, etc…

“If that is where consumers are, absolutely [we’ll release our game on that],” he said.

“But we wouldn’t drive them there, we would just be there if they are there. That is why we have a companion app for our basketball title, NBA 2K Everywhere. It is wherever consumers want to be.

“We are not in the hardware business, we don’t have any dog in that hut, we just want to be where the consumer is.”

While it isn’t confirmation for PC fans left in the dark, it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
