Make Your Own Radio Station in GTA 5 for PC

There’s plenty you can do in the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 and having the right music to fit the mood makes the overall experience even better. A neat feature exclusive to the platform allows gamers to create their very own radio station, integrating your selection of music into the game.

Put that stereo back in the cupboard comrade, we’re here to tell you how. Rockstar failed to really explain the process but thankfully it’s not that difficult. The game will allow music files in MP3, M4A and WMA, so make sure they fall under those formats.

Next you’ll need to find the “User Music” folder; just head to your user profile and find the document \Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\’. This will be the folder you put your music files into, so copy(or move) to this folder.

When you return to the game head to the radio station dial and you should see “Self Radio”, this is your channel and will play the music you copied to the folder. If the station doesn’t appear don’t worry, just head to settings and open the audio tab, when there pick the ‘Quick’ or ‘Full’ scan option.

That’s it, you now have your very own radio station to fit whatever mood, be it killing innocent bystanders or taking a stroll in the park – the choice is yours.
