GTA Online – Rockstar Acknowledge Suspend/Resume Glitch, Fix Incoming

GTA Online - How Many Kills Can You Get With One Sniper Bullet?

The new Suspend/Resume feature bundled in with firmware update 2.50 might seem like a nice treat for PlayStation 4 users, but some are having trouble with the rest mode option while playing Grand Theft Auto Online.

Gamers have made their concerns heard, with connecting with other players at the forefront of the issues. However, developer Rockstar have acknowledged the suspend mode glitch, explaining more on the Rockstar support forum.

Question: PS4 now supports keeping an application suspended while the console is in Rest Mode. I entered Rest Mode while in GTA Online. After powering the console back on and resuming GTAV, I was placed in a Freemode by myself. Even when I try to switch to a new Freemode, I am the only player. How can I play with other players again?

Answer: We are aware of an issue with solo sessions after resuming GTA Online from the PS4’s Rest Mode with the game suspended. This can be resolved by closing GTAV in the PS4 XMB, then re-launching the game. While not a temporary fix, we expect Rockstar to be already working on a more permanent solution, so keep your ear to the ground.
