She threatened and now she has landed the first blow, actress Lindsay Lohan is gunning for Grand Theft Auto 5 creators Rockstar Games, suing the developer for allegedly using her likeness without her permission.
The lawsuit filed in a Manhattan court this week claims that character Lacey Jones is based on Lohan and is an “unequivocal” reference to the actress. The suit also stats that Lohan’s voice and clothing styles were also used without her consent.
The Grand Theft Auto 5 single-player offers a mission which gives your character the task of driving Lacey Jones away from the Paparazzi. Another mission features a hotel that resembles Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, of which Lohan resided in for a short period of time.
Take-Two Interactive have declined to comment on the lawsuit, which isn’t a surprise as Lohan hasn’t much to go on. We’ll be following the story closely, so make sure to stay tuned for any updates.
Grand Theft Auto 5 was released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last September, with the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms getting the game later this year.
